Establishment of Nam Xuan Commune under Krong No District of Dak Nong Province in Vietnam on November 12

This is a notable content in Decree 155/2007/ND-CP adjusting the administrative boundaries to establish commune-level towns in the districts: Dak R'Lap, Dak Song, Dak Glong, Krong No of Dak Nong province in Vietnam.

Decree 155/2007/ND-CP provides for the establishment of Nam Xuan commune under Krong No district on the basis of adjusting 2,394 hectares of natural area and 6,687 inhabitants from Dak Sor commune; 619 hectares of the natural area from Nam Da commune in Vietnam. To be specific:

- Nam Xuan commune will have a natural area of 3,013 hectares and a population of 6,687.

- Administrative boundaries of Nam Xuan commune: East borders with Dak Sor commune and Nam Da commune, Krong No district; West borders with Long Son commune, Dak Mil district; South borders with commune-level town Dak Mam and Tan Thanh commune, Krong No district; North borders with Dak R'la commune and Dak Gan commune, Dak Mil district.

Thus, after adjusting the administrative boundaries of some communes; establishing some communes and commune-level towns under the districts: Dak R'lap, Dak Song, Dak Glong, and Krong No:

- Dak Sin commune will have a remaining natural area of 10,096 hectares and a population of 6,424.

Dak R'lap district will have a natural area of 63,420 hectares and a population of 65,540, with 11 subordinate administrative units, including communes: Dak Wer, Nhan Co, Dao Nghia, Nghia Thang, Nhan Dao, Kien Thanh, Dak Ru, Quang Tin, Dak Sin, Hung Binh, and commune-level town Kien Duc.

- Quang Son commune will have a remaining natural area of 48,284 hectares and a population of 5,211.

Dak Glong district will have a natural area of 144,875 hectares and a population of 28,652, with 7 subordinate administrative units, including communes: Dak Ha, Dak R'Mang, Dak Plao, Quang Khe, Dak Som, Quang Son, Quang Hoa.

- Dak Song commune will have a remaining natural area of 8,058 hectares and a population of 5,454.

Rename Dak Song commune to Nam Binh commune.

- Nam N'Jang commune will have a remaining natural area of 16,532 hectares and a population of 5,861.

- Thuan Hanh commune will have a remaining natural area of 7,401 hectares and a population of 6,321.

- Dak N'Drung commune will have a remaining natural area of 6,834 hectares and a population of 5,845.

Dak Song district will have a natural area of 80,776 hectares and a population of 46,382, with 9 subordinate administrative units, including: commune-level town Duc An and communes: Thuan Hanh, Nam Binh, Thuan Ha, Dak N'Drung, Nam N'Jang, Dak Mol, Truong Xuan, Dak Hoa.

- Nam Da commune will have a remaining natural area of 5,395 hectares and a population of 10,274.

- Dak Sor commune will have a remaining natural area of 2,764 hectares and a population of 4,023.

Krong No district will have a natural area of 80,477 hectares and a population of 56,337, with 12 subordinate administrative units, including: commune-level town Dak Mam and communes: Buon Choah, Tan Thanh, Dak Dro, Nam Nung, Duc Xuyen, Dak Nang, Quang Phu, Nam N'Dir, Dak Sor, Nam Da, Nam Xuan.

More details can be found in Decree 155/2007/ND-CP which comes into effect in Vietnam from December 26, 2007.
