Establishment of Mong Cai City in Quang Ninh Province in Vietnam

On September 24, 2008, the Government of Vietnam issued Decree 03/ND-CP regarding the establishment of Mong Cai City in Quang Ninh Province in Vietnam.

Decree 03/ND-CP stipulates the establishment of Mong Cai City under Quang Ninh Province in Vietnam as follows:

- Establishment of Mong Cai City under Quang Ninh Province on the basis of the entire natural area, population, and subordinate administrative units of district-level town Mong Cai.

- Mong Cai City has a natural area of 51,827.8ha and 108,016 inhabitants, with 17 administrative units, including the wards: Hoa Lac, Tran Phu, Ka Long, Ninh Duong, Tra Co, Hai Yen, Hai Hoa and the communes: Quang Nghia, Hai Tien, Hai Dong, Van Ninh, Hai Xuan, Vinh Thuc, Vinh Trung, Bac Son, Hai Son, Binh Ngoc.

- The administrative boundaries of Mong Cai City: East and Southeast border with Co To District and the Gulf of Tonkin; West and Northwest border with Hai Ha District, Quang Ninh Province; North and Northeast border with district-level town Dong Hung, Guangxi Province - China.
