Establishment of Luong Nghia commune, Vinh Vien A commune, Long My district, Hau Giang province in Vietnam on January 07, 2008

On December 13, 2007, the Government of Vietnam issued Decree 182/2007/ND-CP to establish Luong Nghia Vinh Vien A Commune under Long My District, Hau Giang Province.

Decree 182/2007/ND-CP adjusts the administrative boundaries of Luong Tam commune, Vinh Vien commune to establish Luong Nghia commune, Vinh Vien A commune under Long My district, Hau Giang province in Vietnam as follows:

1. Establishment of Luong Nghia commune under Long My district by adjusting 2,823 hectares of natural area and 10,024 inhabitants from Luong Tam commune.

- Luong Nghia commune has 2,823 hectares of natural area and 10,024 inhabitants.

- Administrative boundaries of Luong Nghia commune: East borders Luong Tam commune, Long My district; West borders Vinh Tuy commune, Go Quao district, Kien Giang province; South borders Vinh Loc commune, Hong Dan district, Bac Lieu province; North borders Vinh Vien A commune, Long My district.

2. Establishment of Vinh Vien A commune by adjusting 2,498.31 hectares of natural area and 8,308 inhabitants from Vinh Vien commune.

- Vinh Vien A commune has 2,498.31 hectares of natural area and 8,308 inhabitants.

- Administrative boundaries of Vinh Vien A commune: East borders Vinh Vien commune, Long My district; West borders Vinh Thang commune, Go Quao district, Kien Giang province; South borders Luong Tam commune, Long My district; North borders Tan Tien commune and Hoa Tien commune, district-level town Vi Thanh.

Therefore, after adjusting the administrative boundaries:

- Luong Tam commune retains 3,023.88 hectares of natural area and 8,820 inhabitants.

- Vinh Vien commune retains 4,212.37 hectares of natural area and 13,290 inhabitants.

- Long My district has 36,612.07 hectares of natural area and 162,344 inhabitants, comprising 14 administrative units, including the commune-level towns of Long My and Tra Long, and the communes of Long Phu, Tan Phu, Thuan Hung, Thuan Hoa, Xa Phien, Vinh Thuan Dong, Luong Tam, Luong Nghia, Vinh Vien, Vinh Vien A, Long Tri, Long Binh.
