Establishment of An Khanh Ward, Ninh Kieu District, and Thoi Hoa Ward, O Mon District, Can Tho in Vietnam

On January 16, 2007, the Government of Vietnam issued Decree 11/2007/ND-CP on the adjustment of administrative boundaries of communes and wards; the establishment of wards and commune-level towns under the districts of Ninh Kieu, O Mon, and the districts of Phong Dien, Vinh Thanh, Can Tho City in Vietnam.

Decree 11/2007/ND-CP regulates the administrative boundaries of communes and wards; the establishment of wards and commune-level towns in Ninh Kieu and O Mon districts, Can Tho city in Vietnam as follows:

1. Establish An Khanh ward under Ninh Kieu district based on the adjustment of 441 ha of natural area and 7,731 population of An Binh ward. An Khanh ward has 441 ha of natural area and 7,731 population. The administrative boundaries of An Khanh ward: East borders Xuan Khanh ward, Hung Loi ward; West borders Long Hoa ward, Long Tuyen ward, Binh Thuy district; South borders An Binh ward; North borders An Hoa ward, Ninh Kieu district, and Long Hoa ward, Binh Thuy district.

2. Establish Thoi Hoa ward under O Mon district based on the adjustment of 702.84 ha of natural area and 7,766 population of Chau Van Liem ward. Thoi Hoa ward has 702.84 ha of natural area and 7,766 population. The administrative boundaries of Thoi Hoa ward: East borders Thoi An ward, West borders Thoi Thanh commune, Co Do district; South borders Chau Van Liem ward; North borders Thoi Long ward in Vietnam.

At the same time, establish Phong Dien commune-level town under Phong Dien district based on the adjustment of 753.82 ha of natural area and 11,852 population of Nhon Ai commune. Phong Dien town has 753.82 ha of natural area and 11,852 population.

The administrative boundaries of Phong Dien commune-level town: East borders My Khanh commune, Giai Xuan commune; West borders Nhon Ai commune; South borders Nhon Ai commune; North borders Tan Thoi commune, Giai Xuan commune  in Vietnam.
