From February 10, 2019, Circular 54/2018/TT-BLDTBXH of BLDTBXH stipulates the minimum required knowledge and the competencies that learners must achieve after graduating from intermediate and college levels in the fields of health and social services will take effect.

According to the regulations on the minimum volume of knowledge and competency requirements that learners should achieve after graduating from intermediate and college levels in the field of drug testing technology issued with Circular 54/2018/TT-BLDTBXH, the minimum knowledge that learners should achieve after graduating from the intermediate level of drug testing technology is as follows:
- Be able to present basic knowledge of foundational subjects suitable for the microbiology and parasitology, general chemistry, and analytical chemistry vocational training;
- Be able to present basic knowledge of sectoral foundation subjects suitable for the vocational training: Medicinal chemistry, pharmacology, botany - medicinal herbs, formulation, traditional medicine;
- Be able to present the process of sample collection, retention, disposal, and preservation for testing;
- Be able to explain the requirements for drug and cosmetic testing conditions;
- Be able to present the process of preparing chemicals, standard reagents for testing;
- Be able to present the operation process of machines used for drug testing;
- Be able to present the processes and methods of drug testing; (physical chemistry, chemistry, biology);
- Be able to explain the quality standards of the production environment (water, air, temperature, humidity, etc.);
- Be able to present the drug production process and regulatory drug standards;
- Be able to present the process and requirements for occupational safety protection;
- Be able to present the process of reporting and storing test results;
- Be able to present basic knowledge about politics, culture, society, law, national defense and security, and physical education as regulated.
