On December 28, 2018, the Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs of Vietnam issued Circular 47/2018/TT-BLDTBXH stipulating the minimum volume of knowledge and competency requirements that learners must achieve upon graduation at the intermediate level and college level in technical mechanics fields.

As per the regulations on the minimum knowledge volume and competency requirements that learners must achieve after graduating at the intermediate level and diploma level in the metal cutting machining sector, stipulated in Circular 47/2018/TT-BLDTBXH, it is specified that after graduating from the intermediate-level metal cutting machining program, learners are taught to meet the requirements for job positions in the sector, including:
- Machining on a universal lathe;
- Machining on a CNC lathe;
- Machining on a universal milling machine;
- Machining on a CNC milling machine;
- Machining on planers and slotters;
- Machining on grinders;
- Machining on universal boring machines;
- Machining on EDM machines and wire cutters;
- Basic technology system maintenance;
- Product quality inspection.
In addition, the minimum knowledge volume and competency requirements that learners must achieve after graduating from the intermediate-level metal cutting machining program enable continuous development at higher levels. Graduates possess the capacity for self-learning and updating scientific and technological advancements within the sector to enhance their skills or pursue further studies in higher levels within the same sector or group of sectors or within the same field of training.
