The details of this content are stipulated in Circular 23/2016/TT-BYT which prescribes national technical regulations on ultraviolet radiation - Permissible exposure levels of ultraviolet radiation in the workplace.
To ensure the safety of workers when exposed to ultraviolet radiation at the workplace, employers must undertake the following tasks:
- Units with workers exposed to ultraviolet radiation must periodically measure and evaluate exposure levels to ultraviolet radiation at least once a year and follow the regulations of the Labor Code and the Law on Occupational Safety and Hygiene.- Employers must provide adequate protective equipment for workers suitable to the working environment as prescribed by the Law on Occupational Safety and Hygiene.- If the level of ultraviolet radiation exposure at the workplace exceeds permissible limits, the employing unit must immediately implement measures to improve working conditions and protect the health of the workers.
