Employees Need to be Equipped with Quality Assurance Protective Equipment

This is a notable content stipulated in Circular 04/2014/TT-BLDTBXH issued by the Minister of Labor, Invalids, and Social Affairs providing guidance on the implementation of policies for equipping personal protective equipment.

Personal protective equipment (PPE) refers to the necessary tools and means that workers must be equipped with for use while working or performing tasks to protect the body from the impact of hazardous and harmful factors arising during the labor process when technological solutions, equipment, and technical safety and sanitation measures at the workplace cannot completely eliminate such factors.

To be specific, personal protective equipment includes:

- Head protection equipment;- Eye and face protection equipment;- Hearing protection equipment;- Respiratory organ protection equipment;- Hand and foot protection equipment;- Body protection equipment;- High-fall prevention equipment;- Electric shock and electromagnetic field prevention equipment;- Drowning prevention equipment;- Other types of safety and labor hygiene assurance equipment.

Additionally, the personal protective equipment provided to workers must effectively prevent the harmful effects of hazardous factors in the labor environment, be easy to use and maintain, and not cause other harm.

All personal protective equipment must ensure quality and standards as per state regulations and standards.
