Electrical and Control Engineering Installation Techniques in Industry at College Level

On December 28, 2018, the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs issued Circular 48/2018/TT-BLDTBXH regulating the minimum amount of knowledge, competency requirements that learners must achieve after graduating from intermediate and college levels in the fields of electrical, electronic, and telecommunications engineering.

According to the Regulation on minimum knowledge volume, capabilities required for learners after graduating from the intermediate level, collegial level in the industrial electrical installation and control technique specialty promulgated together with Circular 48/2018/TT-BLDTBXH, the industrial electrical installation and control technique at the collegial level is defined as an occupation where practitioners perform tasks including designing, installing, inspecting, operating, maintaining, repairing, electrical system maintenance, and improving industrial electrical installation and control equipment to meet technical requirements and ensure safety, responding to level 5 requirements in the Vietnamese National Qualifications Framework.

Practitioners in Industrial Electrical Installation and Control Techniques work in manufacturing establishments, agencies, business units, repair, installation units, control, and operation of electrical equipment in positions such as: Installing power supply and distribution systems for projects; operating and maintaining power supply and distribution systems for projects; installing and programming control systems for industrial electrical equipment; operating, maintaining control systems for industrial electrical equipment; installing building management and operation systems; installing power supply and distribution systems for renewable energy; product quality inspection; technical consulting and equipment trading; installing electrical systems for lifting and transferring machines.

Practitioners in Industrial Electrical Installation and Control Techniques must have the ability to proactively organize work, work in teams; possess high labor discipline and responsibility in performing tasks, strictly adhere to profession regulations; have adequate health, stability, and quick response to ensure safety during labor, industrial hygiene, and environmental management.

Minimum knowledge volume: 1,850 hours (equivalent to 66 credits).
