- Perform duties and powers as specified in Article 16 Decision 37/2018/QD-TTg.- Receive dossiers of candidates belonging to the assigned sector from the State Professorship Council.- Appraise the dossiers of candidates according to Clause 1 Article 19 and Article 22 of Decision 37/2018/QD-TTg.- Evaluate the qualifications for professorship and associate professorship titles of candidates according to Article 19 of Decision 37/2018/QD-TTg.- Implement the work plan of the Sector Professorship Council as approved by the Standing Committee of the State Professorship Council.- Receive and handle complaints and denunciations related to the work of the Sector Professorship Council, reporting to the Standing Committee of the State Professorship Council.- Consider the revocation of recognition of the titles or standards of professorship, associate professorship for subjects as specified in Article 29 of Decision 37/2018/QD-TTg within the assigned sector and inter-sector.- Advise and assist the Minister of Education and Training in appraising doctoral dissertations in accordance with the sector and specialization of the Sector Professorship Council upon request.
