Duration of Vocational Intermediate Level Course: Maximum of 2 Years

The duration for vocational intermediate level training is specified in Circular 29/2013/TT-BLDTBXH as the course duration for individuals holding a high school diploma ranges from one to two academic years depending on the vocational training.

Note, for individuals with a secondary school diploma, the course duration includes the duration of the vocational intermediate level program, similar to those holding a high school diploma, and the duration of the high school academic program as prescribed by the Minister of Education and Training.

In addition, the allocation of the vocational intermediate level course duration is also adjusted in Circular 29/2013/TT-BLDTBXH as follows:

- Allocation of course duration includes study time and time for common activities; study time includes actual study time and time for reviewing, end-of-module/subject exams, and graduation exams for individuals holding a high school diploma; for individuals holding a secondary school diploma, the duration allocation is similar to that of high school diploma holders with additional time for the high school academic program as prescribed by the Minister of Education and Training; allocation of time is specified in Appendix 1, Appendix 2 issued with Circular 29.- Allocation of time between theory and practice in vocational training modules and subjects: theory accounts for 15% - 30%, practice accounts for 70% - 85%.
