Duration for Implementing Scientific Research Projects

Article 11 Circular 37/2014/TT-BKHCN stipulates the implementation time and research outcomes of projects as follows:

- For theoretical research projects, the implementation period shall not exceed 24 months.- For experimental research projects, the implementation period shall not exceed 36 months.- For projects conducted by strong research groups, based on the proposal of the project leader and the recommendation of the Science Council, the Fund Management Council will review and decide on an appropriate duration for the project.

Additionally, Circular 37 provides the following notes:

- The research outcomes of projects in the fields of natural sciences and engineering must have at least 02 articles published in reputable international journals and 01 article published in a reputable national journal.- The research outcomes of projects in the fields of social sciences and humanities must meet one of the following requirements:

- Have at least 01 article published in a reputable international journal and 02 articles published in reputable national journals;- Have at least 02 articles published in reputable international journals. In cases where the research topic cannot be published in reputable international journals, the project outcome must include at least 01 monograph (published or in manuscript form deemed eligible for publication) and 02 articles published in reputable national journals. The Science Council shall propose such cases for the Fund's consideration and decision.

- For exploratory projects, the research outcome must include at least 01 article published in a reputable international journal.- For projects conducted by strong research groups, the research outcomes must have at least 02 articles published in reputable ISI journals and 01 article published in a reputable national journal.- The project leader must be the principal author (for natural sciences and engineering) or the author (for social sciences and humanities and not in cases where the research cannot be published in reputable international journals) of at least 01 article published in a reputable international journal as a result of the project.
