In 2016, the Ministry of National Defense issued Circular 181/2016/TT-BQP providing guidance on the dossiers, procedures, and responsibilities for resolving entitlements to social insurance benefits within the Ministry of National Defense.
According to the regulations in Circular 181/2016/TT-BQP, the dossier for resolving the entitlement to illness policies includes the following documents:
- The original or a copy of the hospital discharge papers for the employee or the employee’s child receiving inpatient treatment. In the case where the employee or the employee’s child receives outpatient treatment, there must be a certificate of leave to enjoy social insurance benefits. If both parents take leave to care for the sick child, one of the parents' certificates of leave to enjoy social insurance benefits must be a copy.- In the case where the employee or the employee’s child is treated abroad, the dossier as guided by the above regulations is replaced by an authenticated Vietnamese translation of the medical examination and treatment documents issued by the foreign medical institution.- In addition to the above dossier, the personnel department shall compile an additional list requesting the resolution of illness, maternity, and health recovery policies.
Within 10 days from the date of receipt of a valid dossier, the employer must complete the resolution of the illness policy for the employee.
