Employees working in school departments (who are not teachers), such as janitors, security guards, clerks, administrators... are they entitled to summer break policies like teachers? This is a question that many people are curious about, and Thu Ky Luat will provide an answer in the article below.
Currently, according to the regulations of Circular 48/2011/TT-BGDDT and Circular 28/2009/TT-BGDDT, the summer break for preschool teachers is 8 weeks and the summer break for general education teachers is 2 months (including annual leave days). During the summer break, teachers still receive full salary and various allowances.
However, for other staff members of the school who are not teachers, there are currently no specific regulations regarding summer break policies. Therefore, the working hours and break periods of school staff are implemented according to the provisions of the Labor Code 2012.
To be specific, school staff will only receive leave and be paid in full on public holidays, Tet, paid personal leave, and annual leave days as stipulated in the Labor Code 2012. Typically, schools will arrange annual leave days for school staff to coincide with the summer break.
Thus, school staff will not enjoy the summer break as teachers do. The allocation or division of work schedules for the staff during the summer break will be determined and arranged appropriately by the school's Board of Directors in accordance with the school's activities.
