On December 22, 2008, the People's Council of Dak Nong province issued Resolution 19/2008/NQ-HDND approving the proposal for the dissolution, re-establishment, and adjustment of administrative boundaries of several communes within Dak Glong district in Vietnam.

Resolution 19/2008/NQ-HDND passed the proposal for the dissolution, re-establishment, and adjustment of administrative boundaries of several communes in Dak Glong district in Vietnam as follows:
- Dissolve Dak P’lao commune, Dak Glong district, and relocate the entire Bon B’Nom - Pang Rah, Bon B’Plao, Bon B’Tong, Hamlet 4, Hamlet 5 of Dak P’lao commune to the resettlement area of Quang Khe commune to establish the new Dak P’lao commune. Hamlet 6 and the entire area of the old Dak P’lao commune will be merged into Dak Som commune.
- Reestablish Dak P’lao commune, Dak Glong district on the basis of adjusting 10,480 hectares of natural area of Quang Khe commune and 2,113 inhabitants of Bon B’Nom - Pang Rah, Bon B’Plao, Bon B’Tong, Hamlet 4, Hamlet 5 of the old Dak P’lao commune.
- After adjusting 10,480 hectares of natural area to reestablish Dak P’lao commune, Quang Khe commune, Dak Glong district will have: 11,936 hectares of natural area and 6,609 inhabitants, with 09 administrative units: Bon Ka La Dong, Bon Phi Mur, Bon Ka Nur, Bon Ka La Da, Bon Ka La Yu, Bon Sar Dieng, Bon B’Dong, Bon Sa U - Bon Dru, and Hamlet Quang Long.
- After receiving 22,974 hectares of natural area and 712 inhabitants of Hamlet 6, from the old Dak P’lao commune, Dak Som commune, Dak Glong district will have: 30,695 hectares of natural land and 5,365 inhabitants, with 9 administrative units: Hamlet 1, Hamlet 2, Hamlet 3, Hamlet 6, Bon B’Sre B, Bon B’S’re A, Bon B’Dong, Bon Pang So, and Bon B’Nor.
- After adjusting 3,108 hectares of natural area to Dak R’Mang commune, Quang Son commune, Dak Glong district will have: 45,176 hectares of natural area and 6,110 inhabitants, with 10 administrative units: Bon R’Long Phe, Bon Phi Gle, Bon Bu Sir, Bon N’Ting, Bon Sa Nar, Bon N’Doh, Bon R’But, Hamlet 4, Hamlet 5, and Hamlet Dak S’Nao.
- After receiving 3,108 hectares of natural area from Quang Son commune, Dak R’Mang commune, Dak Glong district will have: 22,613 hectares of natural area, 5,448 inhabitants, with 4 administrative units: Bon Sa Nar, Bon Ro Song, Bon Pang Xuoi, and Bon Sa U.
