Display of Name Plates and Title Plates in the People's Public Security Forces

On September 12, 2018, the Ministry of Public Security issued Circular 30/2017/TT-BCA specifying the display of nameplates, title plates, duty shift bands, and discipline inspection bands in the People's Public Security.

To be specific:

Display Standards for Agency and Unit Signboards:

- The position of the symbol (National Emblem or Police Emblem) is in the center and at the top of the signboard;- The name of the agency or unit on the signboard must be written in Vietnamese with uppercase letters and full diacritics, and the name must accurately follow the establishment decision of the agency or unit; the name in English or another foreign language (for units located in border areas) must be in uppercase letters below the Vietnamese name and the height of the letters must not exceed 2/3 of the height of the Vietnamese letters.- The name of the supervising agency (if any) should be written in Vietnamese with uppercase letters and full diacritics, in a size that is 1/2 of the font size of the unit's name on the signboard.- Agencies and units must display their names in English (or another foreign language) according to the prescribed guidelines; if there are any issues, they should contact the National Translation Center of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for specific translation guidance.- The address of the agency or unit on the signboard must be in Vietnamese with uppercase letters and full diacritics, and the font size must not exceed 1/3 of the size of the agency or unit's name in Vietnamese.

Display Standards for Common Use Rooms and Office Rooms of Agencies and Units:

- The position of the Police Emblem is in the center and at the top of the signboard;- The name of the common use room or office room must be in Vietnamese with uppercase letters and full diacritics; in cases where it is necessary to display it in English, it must be in uppercase letters below the Vietnamese name and the height of the letters must not exceed 2/3 of the height of the Vietnamese letters.

Display Standards for Leader's Office Rooms and Title Boards:

- The position of the Police Emblem is in the center and at the top of the signboard;- The rank on the signboard must be in Vietnamese with lowercase letters and full diacritics; the full name and position of the leader must be in Vietnamese with uppercase letters and full diacritics.- If the leader of the unit shares an office room, the names of the leadership committee or the leaders' names must be in Vietnamese with uppercase letters and full diacritics.- If the leader shares an office room with other officers or soldiers, the display of the signboard should follow the standards of the unit's office room.

Display Standards for Command Post, Duty Post, and Public Service Signboards:

- The position of the Police Emblem is in the center and at the top of the signboard;- The letters for "command post," "duty post" (or "criminal duty post"), and "public service post" must be in Vietnamese with uppercase letters and full diacritics;- The rank on the signboard must be in Vietnamese with lowercase letters and full diacritics; the full name, position (if any) of the duty officer must be in Vietnamese with uppercase letters and full diacritics.
