Determining the Duration of Vocational Training Courses at Intermediate and College Levels

According to the provisions of Article 6 Circular 29/2013/TT-BLDTBXH, the duration of vocational training courses at the intermediate and college levels for national key occupations includes time for study and common activities. To be specific:

- Study time includes: actual learning time and time for end-of-course assessments, modules, review, and graduation exams. Specifically, actual learning time is the time students attend lectures in classrooms, practical learning time, or learning based on an integrated methodology combining theory and practice at practical locations; actual learning time is calculated in hours.- Time for common activities includes: time for opening and closing ceremonies, mid-term reviews, annual reviews; summer vacations, holidays, Tet, labor, and reserve time.

In addition, Circular 29 also specifies the unit time of the course as follows:

- Course duration is calculated by academic years and weeks.- One standardized practical learning hour is 60 minutes; one standardized theoretical learning hour is 45 minutes; one standardized integrated learning hour is 45 minutes.- One day of practical/integrated learning should not exceed 8 standardized hours; one day of theoretical learning should not exceed 6 standardized hours.- Each week of learning should not exceed 40 practical/integrated hours or 30 theoretical hours.
