Determining the Content of Organizing Sports Activities for Students at Vocational Training Institutions

Recently, the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs has just issued Circular 15/2013/TT-BLDTBXH regulating the organization of physical education and sports activities for students in vocational training institutions.

Article 4 of Circular 15/2013/TT-BLDTBXH stipulates the organization of physical and sports activities for students in vocational training institutions, including the following contents:

- Organizing for students to learn the compulsory physical education program as prescribed.- Guiding students in extracurricular exercises including physical exercises, sports, movement games, and intellectual games according to the conditions of each vocational training institution.- Encouraging and motivating students to self-train in physical exercises and sports outside school hours according to their interests and suitable to their individual conditions.- Organizing sports exchange activities to exchange, disseminate knowledge, skills, attitudes, and experiences in physical exercise and sports, and maintaining health.- Organizing sports competitions.

This Circular stipulates the organization of physical and sports activities for students in vocational training institutions to be carried out according to the following principles:

- In line with the guidelines of the Communist Party, the policies, and laws of the State; suitable to the specific conditions of the vocational training institution, Ministry, sector, and locality, avoiding wastage and formality.- Suitable to the interests, gender, age, and health of students.- Implementing the policy of private investment in combination with state budget resources and other resources to organize and implement physical and sports activities for students in vocational training institutions.
