Details of the Examination for Promotion from Grade III to Grade II for Science and Technology Public Employees

According to Circular 17/2018/TT-BKHCN, there will be 04 subjects used in the examination for promoting public employee occupational titles in the science and technology sector from rank III to rank II, specifically:

1. General Knowledge Subject:

- Test content: Assessing the public employee's knowledge and understanding of the Communist Party's policies, and the State's policies and laws on socio-economic, science, and technology;- Test format: Multiple choice;- Test duration: 45 minutes.

2. Professional Knowledge and Skills Subject:

- Test content: Assessing the level, capacity, and research skills, implementation, proposing solutions to address science and technology tasks in practice;- Test format: Written test;- Test duration: 180 minutes.

3. Foreign Language Subject:

- Test content: Assessing reading comprehension and writing skills at a level 3 foreign language. Public employees can register for one of the following foreign languages: English, French, Russian, German, Chinese;- Test format: Written test;- Test duration: 90 minutes.

4. Information Technology Subject:

- Test content: Assessing the level of information technology skills meeting the basic usage standards as prescribed in Circular 03/2014/TT-BTTTT;- Test format: Multiple choice or practical test on a computer;- Test duration: 45 minutes.
