Description of the Electronics and Building Energy Technology Sector (College-level) in Vietnam

This is the notable content in Circular 21/2019/TT-BLDTBXH of the Ministry of Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs of Vietnam stipulating the minimum knowledge requirements and competencies that learners must achieve after graduating from intermediate and college levels in the fields of computer science, information technology, and engineering technology.

Specifically, according to the regulations issued  together with Circular 21/2019/TT-BLDTBXH, the field of electronics and building energy technology is a sector that performs installation and maintenance tasks for the following: electrical supply systems, electrical equipment for buildings, solar energy systems, solar hot water systems, ventilation systems for buildings, air conditioning systems, protection and lightning protection systems; carries out connection and installation of management and monitoring systems for buildings to ensure compliance with technical standards, labor productivity, environmental protection, efficient use of energy and resources, and meet the requirements of Level 5 in the Vietnam National Qualifications Framework.

People working in the field of Electronics and Building Energy Technology mainly work on industrial and civil construction projects, high-rise buildings to perform tasks such as providing electricity, installing electrical, refrigeration, and telecommunications equipment, building management systems for buildings, etc. Therefore, professionals in this field must have good health, good professional ethics, always develop meticulous, detailed, and clear thinking; build professional consciousness and passion for the profession, and have sufficient professional knowledge and skills to meet the job requirements.

Learners must meet the requirements for self-control ability and specific responsibilities as follows:

- Work independently or in a team, solve complex tasks and issues in changing working conditions.

- Instruct and supervise others in performing assigned tasks at the workplace.

- Take personal responsibility and responsibility for the group for the assigned work results.

- Evaluate the quality of work after completion and the performance of team members.

- Proactively plan and organize work implementation.

- Comply well with organizational discipline, demonstrate professional behavior.

- Cooperate and assist colleagues, improve professional knowledge.

- Comply strictly with regulations on labor safety and hygiene, environmental protection, and efficient use of energy and resources.

Note: After graduation, learners have the ability to meet the requirements for employment positions in the field, including:

- Installing electrical supply systems for buildings.

- Installing electrical equipment in buildings.

- Installing solar energy systems.

- Installing solar hot water systems.

- Installing ventilation systems.

- Installing air conditioning systems.

- Connecting and installing management and monitoring systems for buildings.
