Department of Information and Communications must regularly monitor the inspection status of telecommunications equipment, radio stations

This is one of the responsibilities of the State management agency on information and communications in provinces and centrally-run cities in the task of inspecting telecommunications equipment and radio stations as stipulated in Circular 07/2020/TT-BTTTT on regulations for inspecting telecommunications equipment and radio stations.

To be specific:, Circular 07/2020/TT-BTTTT stipulates that the state management agency on information and communications in provinces and cities under the Central Government (hereinafter referred to as the Department of Information and Communications) has the following responsibilities:

- Regularly monitor the implementation of inspection work in the managed area based on actual conditions and updated information on the Information Portal of the Department of Telecommunications;- Inspect and check organizations and enterprises on the compliance with inspection regulations within the managed area;- Detect and reflect issues related to the inspection of telecommunications equipment and radio stations, report and propose solutions to the Ministry of Information and Communications.

Additionally, the Circular stipulates that the Department of Telecommunications must also have the following responsibilities:

- Guide the Departments of Information and Communications, inspection organizations, relevant organizations, and enterprises to implement this Circular;- Inspect and check organizations, enterprises, and inspection organizations on compliance with inspection regulations nationwide;- Build a database on inspection work nationwide;- Publicize information on inspection organizations on the Information Portal of the Department of Telecommunications;- Aggregate and report to the Ministry of Information and Communications on the implementation status of inspection work nationwide;- Research and propose relevant policies to the Ministry of Information and Communications related to inspection work.

Furthermore, during the use of telecommunications equipment and radio stations, when detecting non-conformity with corresponding national technical standards, organizations and enterprises must take the following measures:

- Quickly rectify the non-conformity, in the case specified in point b, clause 2, Article 6 of this Circular, cease operations of telecommunications equipment and radio stations;- Report to the Department of Information and Communications managing the area where the telecommunications equipment and radio stations are located on the non-conformity and the rectification results.
