The content is detailed in Decree 17/2014/ND-CP stipulating the organization and operation of the Foreign Affairs Inspectorate.
According to the regulations in Decree 17/2014/ND-CP, the Inspectorate of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs shall perform the duties and powers stipulated in Article 18 of the Law on Inspection and the following duties and powers:
- Preside over and coordinate with the drafting of legal normative documents as assigned by the Minister of Foreign Affairs; propose to the competent authority the amendment, supplementation, or promulgation of legal normative documents related to diplomatic inspection as prescribed by law.- Disseminate, guide, inspect, and urge agencies and units under the management of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to implement legal provisions on inspection, complaints, denunciations, and anti-corruption.- Summarize and report on the results of inspection work, the resolution of complaints and denunciations, and anti-corruption within the scope of state management of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs as prescribed.- Develop inspection plans to be submitted to the Minister of Foreign Affairs for promulgation; guide provincial Inspectors in developing specialized inspection plans.- Conduct international cooperation in the field of diplomatic inspection as assigned by the Minister of Foreign Affairs.- Review and draw lessons from diplomatic inspection work.- Perform other duties and powers as stipulated by law.
