On December 23, 2008, the Government of Vietnam issued Decree 09/ND-CP on the adjustment of administrative boundaries of Lap Thach district to establish Song Lo district, Vinh Phuc province.
Decree 09/ND-CP: Establishment of communes under Song Lo District, Vinh Phuc province (Illustration)
Decree 09/ND-CP stipulates the adjustment of administrative boundaries of Lap Thach district to establish Song Lo district, Vinh Phuc province as follows:
- Establish Song Lo district under Vinh Phuc province
- Song Lo district has 15,031.77 hectares of natural area and 93,984 inhabitants, with 17 affiliate administrative divisions, including the communes: Bach Luu, Hai Luu, Don Nhan, Quang Yen, Lang Cong, Nhan Dao, Phuong Khoan, Dong Que, Nhao Son, Nhu Thuy, Yen Thach, Tan Lap, Tu Yen, Dong Thinh, Duc Bac, Cao Phong, and Tam Son township.
After the adjustment of administrative boundaries:
- Lap Thach district remains with 17,310.22 hectares of natural area and 123,664 inhabitants, with 20 affiliate administrative divisions including commune-level town Lap Thach, commune-level town Hoa Son, and the communes: Son Dong, Trieu De, Dinh Chu, Xuan Loi, Van Quan, Tien Lu, Dong Ich, Ban Gian, Tu Du, Lien Hoa, Ngoc My, Xuan Hoa, Van Truc, Lien Son, Thai Hoa, Bac Binh, Hop Ly, Quang Son.
- Administrative boundaries of Lap Thach district: East borders Tam Duong and Tam Dao districts, Vinh Phuc province; West borders Song Lo district, Vinh Phuc province and Viet Tri city, Phu Tho province; South borders Vinh Tuong district, Vinh Phuc province; North borders Son Duong district, Tuyen Quang province.
