Decree 08/ND-CP: Establishment of wards under Hong Ngu town, Dong Thap Province (Illustrative image)

Decree 08/ND-CP stipulates adjustments to the administrative boundaries of Hong Ngu district to establish wards under Hong Ngu town, Dong Thap Province as follows:

- Establish An Loc ward in Hong Ngu town by adjusting 400.14 hectares of natural area and 14,534 inhabitants of Hong Ngu township.

- Establish AnThanh ward in Hong Ngu town by adjusting 470.10 hectares of natural area and 17,074 remaining inhabitants of Hong Ngu township.

- Establish An Lac ward in Hong Ngu town by adjusting 751.72 hectares of natural area and 8,380 inhabitants (portion of the natural area and population of Thuong Lac commune adjusted to establish Hong Ngu town).

After adjusting the administrative boundaries of Hong Ngu district to establish Hong Ngu town and wards in Hong Ngu town:

- Hong Ngu town has 12,216 hectares of natural area and 74,569 inhabitants, comprising 7 administrative divisions with wards: An Loc, An Thanh, An Lac and communes: Tan Hoi, Binh Thanh, An Binh A, An Binh B.

- Thuong Lac commune: retains 849.70 hectares of natural area and 3,280 inhabitants.

- Hong Ngu district retains 20,973.70 hectares of natural area and 150,050 inhabitants, comprising 11 administrative divisions, including the communes: Thuong Phuoc 1, Thuong Phuoc 2, Thuong Thoi Hau A, Thuong Thoi Hau B, Thuong Thoi Tien, Thuong Lac, Long Thuan, Long Khanh A, Long Khanh B, Phu Thuan A, Phu Thuan B.
