According to Article 14 of Decree 69/2024/ND-CP, the activation and use of eID accounts are guided as follows:

  • The electronic identity holder activates the eID account of individuals, agencies, or organizations on the National Identification Application within 07 days from the date of receiving the notification of account issuance results. After 07 days, if the eID account is not activated, the electronic identity holder must contact the eID and e-authentication management authority via the hotline for identification and authentication requests to activate the eID account.
