Cultural - Social responsibilities of the People's Council of Phu Nhuan District in Vietnam in 2009 (Internet image)

According to Resolution 02/2008/NQ-HDND, the cultural – social tasks for 2009 of the People's Council of Phu Nhuan District in Vietnam are as follows:

- Strive for 100% of 5-year-old children to attend kindergarten. The training efficiency at the primary level should reach 98.2%, and at the secondary level, 92%. Aim for 85% of primary school students and 81% of secondary school students to study for two sessions per day. Construct two primary schools meeting national standards.

- Strive for over 95% of households to achieve the Cultural Family standard (evaluated according to new criteria); 48 out of 63 neighborhoods to be recognized as Cultural Neighborhoods; strive for two wards to meet the Cultural Ward standard; ...

- Introduce and resolve employment for 4,000 laborers in the district. Reduce the malnutrition rate among children under 5 years old to below 3%.

- Strive to consolidate and enhance the indicators for universal education standards, mobilize children to attend school. Strengthen inspection and rectify the management of schools in the district, especially private schools...

- Complete and implement the development planning project for the physical foundation network of the health sector within the district...

- Regularly monitor and provide support for individuals reintegrating into the community locally.

- Mobilize the entire district's political - social system to continue implementing the theme "2009 - Year of Implementing Civilized Urban Lifestyle" with focus and emphasis; create positive changes, discipline, and form habits of civilized interaction for residents, officials, civil servants, and workers.

More details can be found in Resolution 02/2008/NQ-HDND, which comes into effect in Vietnam from January 2, 2009.
