Currently, the practice of buying and selling goods on the internet and social media is quite popular. This is a trading area with high interaction accessibility, saving effort and cost while bringing efficiency. Taking advantage of this situation, crystal methamphetamine has also entered this market and gradually become a sought-after "product" quite easily—this is a new business tactic of drug traffickers.
Crystal Methamphetamine
Crystal methamphetamine is a type of synthetic drug and is currently a form of entertainment for youth. According to statistics, up to 72% of crystal meth users are young people aged 18-30, those over 30 account for 26%, and the usage among those under 18 is trending upward. The use of this drug induces euphoria, gradually causes addiction to users, and heavily impacts health and society.
Despite being strictly prohibited, crystal meth still infiltrates Vietnam, especially in nightclubs and bars. Recently, drug dealers have adopted a new tactic using COD (Cash on Delivery) shipping, i.e., delivering goods and collecting payment on behalf of their trading activities. When a shipment request is received, the delivery personnel will go directly to the location to pick up and deliver the "goods", simultaneously collecting payment and transferring it to the “owner”. By this method, drug dealers can hide their identities while transactions still proceed smoothly, and the delivery personnel unknowingly become accomplices to the drug dealers.
Although widely detected and reported on social media, this trading activity still blatantly continues. Notably, buyers and sellers openly exchange in groups with enthusiastic invitations and responses, always asserting the "reputation" and "quality" of the goods.

In light of such methods, delivery personnel must be more cautious when choosing recipients and goods to handle, especially young people should be wary when participating in social networks.
