Criteria for Awarding the “State Prize” in Literature and Art

Decree 133 has amended and supplemented regulations on the criteria for awarding the "State Prize" in literature and arts.

1. For works and projects published or utilized before 1993, the following criteria must be met:

- Have a positive impact on education, building new human beings, and improving the aesthetic appreciation of the people, significantly contributing to changing the people's perception in the career of developing Vietnamese literature and art, and building and protecting the Fatherland;- Possess outstanding value in literature, arts, ideological content, and artistic form.

2. For works and projects published or utilized after 1993, the following criteria must be met:

- Have a positive impact on education, building new human beings, and improving the aesthetic appreciation of the people, significantly contributing to changing the people's perception in the career of developing Vietnamese literature and art, and building and protecting the Fatherland;- Possess outstanding value in literature, arts, ideological content, and artistic form: Awarded the First, Second, or Third Prize in national competitions, professional festivals, and exhibitions in literature and arts organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism, or awarded the First, Second, or Third Prize by the Central Specialized Literature and Arts Associations in the respective specialized fields, or awarded main prizes in prestigious international competitions, professional festivals, and exhibitions in literature and arts.
