Courtroom must be arranged with two platforms

This is one of the regulations on courtrooms specified in Circular 01/2017/TT-TANDTC issued by the Supreme People's Court on July 28, 2017, detailing the courtroom.

Accordingly, the arrangement of the courtroom as specified in Circular 01 is detailed as follows:

- The courtroom must display the National Emblem of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam on a wooden background at the center, behind, and above the position of the Trial Panel, the Civil Affair Settlement Council, the bankruptcy Judges, the Judge presiding over the trial, and the session chairperson.- The courtroom is arranged with two tiers, except for courtrooms dealing with cases under the jurisdiction of the Family and Juvenile Court. The position of the Trial Panel, the Civil Affair Settlement Council, the bankruptcy Judges, the Judge presiding over the trial, and the session chairperson is on the highest tier; the second tier is for other judicial officials, participants in the proceedings, and attendees of the trial or hearing.- The courtroom must ensure enough space for the trial or hearing and a barrier to separate the area of the judicial officials, participants in the proceedings from the area of the attendees. Separate paths must be arranged for the Trial Panel, the Civil Affair Settlement Council, the bankruptcy Judges, the Judge presiding over the trial, and the session chairperson; paths for other judicial officials, participants in the proceedings, and attendees of the trial or hearing. The walls within the courtroom must have a yellow background.- The layout of the positions of the judicial officials, participants in the proceedings, and attendees in the courtroom is implemented according to Appendix No. 01 issued with Circular 01.- Note that in the case of mobile trials, the courtroom must display the National Emblem of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam on a blue background at the center, behind, and above the position of the Trial Panel. The tables of the judicial officials will be covered with cloth matching the background color.
