Below is the notable content of Circular 31/2017/TT-BLDTBXH on the regulations for training at the college, intermediate, and elementary levels under the form of part-time training in Vietnam issued on December 28, 2017.
1. Duration of the Course in Vietnam
- In the case of training organized according to the academic year system, the total duration of the training course (from the opening to the closing ceremony) must not exceed twice the duration of the regular training courses in the same field, occupation, and training level as stipulated in Point a, c, d, Clause 1 and Clause 2 Article 3 Circular 09/2017/TT-BLDTBXH for college and intermediate levels, and Clause 1 Article 18 Circular 42/2015/TT-BLDTBXH for primary level;
- In the case of training organized according to the accumulation of modules or credits, the course duration is the time the learner accumulates the required number of modules or credits as stipulated in the training program for the same field, occupation, and training level as stipulated in Point b, c, dd, Clause 1 and Clause 2 Article 3 Circular 09/2017/TT-BLDTBXH for college and intermediate levels, and Clause 1 Article 18 Circular 42/2015/TT-BLDTBXH for primary level.
2. Teaching Schedule of vocational training institutions for the entire course and each semester is specifically regulated by the head of the vocational training institution, ensuring the requirements stipulated in Clause 3 Article 3 Circular 09/2017/TT-BLDTBXH for college and intermediate levels; Clause 2, 3 Article 18 Circular 42/2015/TT-BLDTBXH for primary level and the following requirements:
- The teaching schedule is flexibly implemented (morning, afternoon, evening on weekdays or Saturday, Sunday, or holidays) according to the needs of the learners but must ensure the requirements of the training program's content;
- The head of the vocational training institution stipulates the maximum and minimum time for the implementation of the training program; course duration, specific teaching schedule for each course, group of learners, and publicly notify the learners.
This content is stipulated in Article 4 Circular 31/2017/TT-BLDTBXH which took effect on February 12, 2018.
