On June 4, 2008, the Government of Vietnam issued Decree 70/2008/ND- CP guiding Law on Gender Equality.

Coordination in providing disseminating, educating about policies and law on gender and gender equality in Vietnam (Internet image) 

Decree 70/2008/ND-CP stipulates coordination in providing disseminating, educating about policies and law on gender and gender equality in Vietnam as follows:

The Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs shall preside over and coordinate with the Ministry of Justice to guide and organize the dissemination and education of the Law on Gender Equality and legal documents on gender equality; preside over and coordinate with the Central Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union and relevant agencies and organizations to develop communication programs and contents, guide agencies, organizations and individuals in disseminating and educating and providing knowledge and practical skills on gender equality;

The Ministry of Education and Training shall study and incorporate gender and gender equality contents into school education programs appropriate to each grade and training level;

The Ministry of Information and Communications shall preside over the research, development and implementation of the project on information, education and communication on gender and gender equality through publications, radio and television programs and other forms; direct and guide the Voice of Vietnam, Vietnam Television and other mass media agencies to propagate and disseminate the Party's guidelines and policies and the State's laws on gender equality;

The Committee for Ethnic Minorities shall preside over and coordinate with the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs and the Ministry of Information and Communications to organize propaganda and dissemination of knowledge and policies and laws on gender equality for ethnic minorities; mobilize ethnic minorities to promote their good customs, practices and traditions in line with the goal of gender equality;

Information and propaganda agencies and agencies, organizations, within the scope of their tasks and powers, are responsible for propagating and disseminating the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's laws on gender equality, introducing advanced models, typical examples, good people, good deeds in implementing gender equality, criticizing acts, individuals, and organizations that violate the law on gender equality.

More details can be found in Decree 70/2008/ND-CP, which comes into force from July 3, 2008.
