Contents of the National Remote Sensing Database

The content of the national remote sensing database stipulated by Circular 09 includes:

- The national remote sensing database comprises 02 (two) component databases: the national remote sensing metadata database and the national remote sensing imagery database.- The national remote sensing metadata database contains a collection of remote sensing metadata information from remote sensing imagery receiving stations in Vietnam or through forms of purchase, exchange, cooperation, and foreign aid; metadata of image products belonging to projects and programs funded by the State budget.- The national remote sensing imagery database contains raw image data and remote sensing image products submitted to the national remote sensing database.

Additionally, Circular 09 also stipulates general principles for building and updating the content of the national remote sensing database as follows:

- The national remote sensing database must promptly serve state management work and meet economic, social development, national defense, and security requirements.- The national remote sensing database must be built and updated conveniently for operation, exploitation, and utilization, ensuring the publication of the national remote sensing metadata and guaranteeing data safety.

The types of remote sensing image data and metadata integrated into the national remote sensing database must comply with current standards, regulations, and technical specifications concerning data and remote sensing image products.
