On May 29, 2017, the Ministry of National Defense issued Circular 142/2017/TT-BQP detailing the contents of occupational safety and hygiene within the Ministry of National Defense.
The contents of occupational safety and hygiene work in the Ministry of National Defence are regulated in Circular 142 as follows:
- Develop legal documents, procedures, regulations, standards, and programs on occupational safety and hygiene and implement them in accordance with the unique characteristics of military activities within the Ministry of National Defence. Perform state management of occupational safety and hygiene in the Ministry of National Defence according to the provisions of law.- Research and apply scientific and technical methods for occupational safety and hygiene to prevent hazardous and harmful factors; improve working conditions, minimize labor accidents, and occupational diseases related to labor activities within the Ministry of National Defence.- Provide information, propaganda, education, and training on occupational safety and hygiene and mobilize mass organizations to participate in occupational safety and hygiene work.- Inspect and monitor compliance with laws, regulations, procedures, and standards of the state and the Ministry of National Defence regarding occupational safety and hygiene, fire and explosion prevention, labor accidents, occupational diseases, and labor protection policies at units within the Ministry of National Defence.
