Contents of Meteorological Investigation and Survey Work

Accordingly, Circular 45 stipulates the content of the meteorological investigation and survey work as follows:

Preparation:

The preparation includes the following tasks:

- Receiving the assignment;- Developing an outline;- Collecting related documents;- Provisionally selecting locations on the map;- Selecting specific survey measurement locations;- Drawing a diagram to locate the survey measurement points;- Coordinating with local authorities regarding the survey investigation;- Preparing machines, equipment, tools, and materials for the survey investigation;- Installing and checking all types of machines and equipment before measurement and survey.

Detailed survey measurement

- Conducting detailed daily survey measurements according to the national technical standards for meteorological observation, including the following elements: wind, atmospheric pressure, air temperature, air humidity, rainfall, evaporation rate, ground temperature and various soil layers, soil moisture and various soil layers, sunshine duration, radiation, horizontal visibility, clouds, and meteorological phenomena.

Dismantling and cleaning tools and survey measurement equipment, and performing maintenance.

Completing the documentation:

Circular 45 stipulates that the completion of documentation includes the following tasks:

- Correcting errors in the measured elements;- Reporting results and creating data tables;- Compiling files and survey data tables according to survey requirements;- Entering data into the computer, performing control and error correction, submitting survey results, writing comprehensive reports, and conducting acceptance.
