Contents of assessment of and requirements for products of National-Level science and technology tasks in Vietnam (Internet image)

Circular 11/2014/TT-BKHCN stipulates the content evaluation and requirements for the products of national level science and technology tasks in Vietnam as follows:

1. Content evaluation:

- Evaluation of the synthesis report: Evaluation of the completeness, clarity, authenticity, and logic of the synthesis report (research methods, techniques used, etc.) and the necessary accompanying documents (design documents, technology documents, intermediate products, cited documents);

- Evaluation of the product of the task compared to the order, including: Quantity, volume of products; product quality; product types; features and technical specifications of the products.

2. Requirements for the synthesis report:

- Overview of the research results related to the task;- Representative, reliable, authentic, and updated data and documentation;

- The content of the report encompasses all research results of the task presented in a systematic and scientific logical structure, with well-founded scientific arguments and practical evidence answering the research questions, objectively reflecting the task results in accordance with common practices in scientific research activities;

- Appropriate structural content and scientific writing style.

3. Requirements for products of national level tasks.

In addition to the requirements mentioned in the contract and task description, the products of national level tasks must meet the following requirements:

- For products such as: samples; materials; equipment, machinery; technology lines; plant varieties; animal breeds and measurable products, they need to be inspected/tested/verified by suitable specialized agencies independent of the task-hosting organization;

- For products such as: application principles; methods; standards; regulations; software; design drawings; technological processes; diagrams, maps; data, databases; analysis reports; forecast documents (methods, processes, models, etc.); projects, plans; technical-economic arguments, feasibility studies, and similar products need to be appraised by specialized scientific councils or expert panels established by the task-hosting organization;

- For products such as: results of graduate training, useful solutions, inventions, publications, and similar products, there must be a written confirmation from the appropriate functional authority.
