On December 22, 2017, the Ministry of Finance of Vietnam issued Circular 135/2017/TT-BTC to regulate the content of the standard for reserve salt loss in Vietnam .
To be specific:
- Loss ratio during the warehousing process: No loss.
- Maximum loss ratio during the delivery process: 0.36% per instance.
- Loss ratio during the storage and preservation process as follows:

| 9 | From > 60 months to 72 months | 11.6 |
| 10 | From the 7th year onwards, each additional year of preservation increases the loss by 0.1%, but the maximum loss ratio for the entire storage and preservation process does not exceed 14%. | |
