Ordinance on Population 2003 regulates the population scale, population structure, population distribution, population quality, the measures to implement population activities, and state management of population. So, specifically, how are the contents of state management of population regulated?
According to the provisions of the Population Ordinance 2003, the contents of state management on population include:
- Developing, organizing, and directing the implementation of strategies, planning, programs, plans, and measures for population work;- Promulgating and organizing the implementation of legal normative documents on population;- Organizing and coordinating the implementation of population work among state agencies, people's organizations, and individuals participating in population work;- Managing and guiding professional work on organizing the apparatus and state management officials on population;- Organizing and managing the collection, processing, utilization, and storage of information and data on population; population registration work and the national database system on population; conducting periodic population censuses;- Organizing and managing training and fostering officials working on population work;- Organizing and managing research, applying science, and transferring technology in the field of population;- Organizing, managing, and implementing propaganda, dissemination, and mobilizing the people to implement the law on population;- Conducting international cooperation in the field of population;- Inspecting, examining, resolving complaints, denunciations, and handling violations of the law on population.
These contents are stipulated in Article 33 of the Population Ordinance 2003, effective from May 1, 2003.
