Content of specialized inspection on the economic-social development planning of the Ministry of Planning and Investment of Vietnam

The Ministry of Planning and Investment of Vietnam issued Circular No. 08/2014/TT-BKHDT detailing Decree No. 216/2013/ND-CP on the organization and operation of inspections in the Planning and Investment sector.

According to Circular No. 08/2014/TT-BKHDT of the Ministry of Planning and Investment of Vietnam, the specialized inspection in the field of comprehensive economic-social development planning shall inspect the following contents:

- Conduction of procedures and processes for planning development.

- Appraisal and approval of the planning.

- Implementation of regulations on funding for planning development, appraisal, and approval activities.

- Implementation of regulations on conditions, content, and approval of planning adjustments (if any).

- Implementation of the planning, including: publicly announcing approved planning; reporting on the implementation of planning; progress of key investment programs and projects; progress of achieving objectives and major outputs of the planning; inspection, examination, and monitoring of planning implementation.

Circular No. 08/2014/TT-BKHDT of the Ministry of Planning and Investment of Vietnam takes effect from January 15, 2015.
