Content and Format of the Promotion Examination for Professional Titles in the Cinema Sector

On October 10, 2019, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism issued Circular 10/2019/TT-BVHTTDL stipulating the standards, conditions, content, and methods of examination or evaluation for rank promotion of public employee professional titles in the fields of libraries, cultural heritage, grassroots culture, performing arts, cinema, and fine arts.

The content and format of the promotion examination from professional title level II to level I in the fields of performing arts, cinematography, and fine arts comprise two parts, specified in detail in Article 5 of Circular 10/2019/TT-BVHTTDL. Specifically as follows:

General Knowledge Examination

- Content: 50 questions to assess the public employee's knowledge and capacity regarding state administration and law applicable to public employees; an understanding of the duties and responsibilities of public employees according to the professional title standards for the specialty being tested (constituting 60% of the exam content); and strategic directions and developmental plans of the sector (constituting 40% of the exam content).

- Format: Computer-based multiple-choice exam or paper-based multiple-choice exam.

- Duration: 60 minutes.

- Scoring: 100 points.

Professional and Occupational Examination:

- Content: Professional knowledge, skills in creating and implementing works and programs in accordance with the standards for professional knowledge and skills of the level I professional title in the specialized field.

- Format: Creation, development of works and programs, followed by an interview or practical demonstration to defend the work and program as required for the prospective professional title.

- Duration: Creation and development of works and programs: maximum of 08 hours; interview or practical demonstration: maximum of 30 minutes.

- Scoring: 100 points.
