On January 25, 2017, the Ministry of Education and Training of Vietnam issued Circular No. 04/2017/TT-BGDĐT on the regulation on national high school graduation examination and high school graduation consideration.
According to the Regulation issued together with Circular No. 04/2017/TT-BGDĐT of the Ministry of Education and Training of Vietnam, conditions of taking the national high school graduation examination are as follows:
- Candidates must register, fully and punctually submit the required documents;
- Candidates prescribed in Point a Clause 1 Article 12 of this Circular must also meet the requirements of conduct and learning capacity assessed and classified in grade 12: conduct must be classified as medium grade and above and learning capacity must not be classified as poor grade. The classification of conduct is not required for continuing education learners in guided self-study mode and learners with no requirements of conduct classification.
- In addition to the criteria prescribed above, a free candidate must also meets the requirements below:
+ He/she has graduated from lower secondary school;
+ A person who is disqualified from the previous year’s National High School Graduation Examination due to poor academic performance in grade 12 must take the final exams at the school in which they went to grade 12 or at the registered examination center for any subjects with GPA below 5.0 and the new GPA is qualified as prescribed above.
