The Ministry of Transport issued Circular 42/2017/TT-BGTVT on November 15, 2017, detailing the conditions for tourist transportation vehicles by road.
To be specific::
- Automobiles must comply with regulations on quality, technical safety, and environmental protection according to the law.- Automobiles must be equipped with journey monitoring devices as regulated.- Automobiles must display all required information as regulated. Beside the sleeper berth, there must be a guideboard for passengers on traffic safety and emergency exit procedures in case of an incident, in accordance with the regulations of the Minister of Transport.- Tourist transport automobiles must ensure the following interior and amenities:- Automobiles with fewer than 09 seats must have equipment including: air conditioning, drink container, first aid kit, spare medicine bag, emergency escape tools, and the name and phone number of the vehicle owner positioned behind the driver's seat;- Automobiles with 09 to fewer than 24 seats, in addition to the aforementioned items in clause (a), must also have sunshade curtains, safety instruction board, and trash container;- Automobiles with 24 seats or more (excluding specialized caravan vehicles), in addition to the aforementioned items in clause (b), must also be equipped with a microphone, tourist luggage storage space, and designated seating for the elderly and disabled as regulated.
