Conditions for special-use motorbikes to be allowed in traffic in Vietnam

Specifically, according to the Draft Law on ensuring road traffic order and safety of Vietnam, special-use motorcycles allowed to participate in traffic must be of the right type, manufacturer's design, approved by Vietnamese and international competent authorities, model certified, must be managed in terms of quality, technical safety and environmental protection from the time of production, assembly, importation and in the process of participating in traffic and must be issued with a vehicle registration certificate by a competent state agency and attached with a license plate. Ensure the regulations on quality, technical safety and environmental protection and also ensure other requirements. To be specific:

- Sufficient effective braking system is available;

- Have an effective steering system;

- Having rims and tires of the right size and technical standards of each vehicle;

- Having enough rear-view mirrors and other equipment and devices to ensure the operator's vision and observation ability;

- There is a horn with the volume in accordance with the technical regulations;

- There are sufficient silencers, smoke reduction units and other equipment and devices to ensure emissions and noise according to environmental standards;

- The vehicle's shape, layout, overall composition and system conform to the manufacturer's design approved and certified by a competent authority;

- Having the vehicle's structures must be durable and ensure stable performance;

- Having rims, tires, and sprockets of the right size according to the technical standards of each vehicle;

- There are specialized parts that must be installed in the right position, firmly and safely when moving;

- Operating within the prescribed range, ensuring the safety of people, vehicles and road works when moving.
