Conditions for Off-road Motor Car Racing Tracks

Circular 18/2015/TT-BVHTTDL stipulating conditions for practicing and competing in off-road motor sports was issued on December 31, 2015 by the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism.

Circular 18/2015/TT-BVHTTDL stipulates that off-road racing tracks for sport utility vehicles must meet the following conditions:

- The racing track can be made artificially or based on natural terrain according to technical requirements and competition content.- There must be posts, tape, and signposts to mark the racing track.- There must be signs to mark and signal obstacles or dangerous areas on the racing track.- The organization of competitions on natural terrain tracks must comply with the legal regulations on environmental protection.

Additionally, all types of vehicles before participating in the competition must be inspected to ensure the following technical standards:

- If it is a convertible or open-roof car, it must have a roll cage (safety cage): made of pipes with a minimum diameter of 30mm and a minimum thickness of 3mm for steel pipes or 5mm for aluminum pipes, welded or bolted directly to the car frame or car floor (body) through at least 6 points (base plates).
