Conditions for Inspecting Personal Self-Rescue Devices

Circular 50/2018/TT-BCT has been issued by the Ministry of Industry and Trade, promulgating the National Technical Regulation on personal self-rescuer safety used in underground mines.

According to Circular 50, when conducting inspections of personal self-rescue devices, the following conditions must be ensured:

- The personal self-rescue device must be cleaned of any external substances.- The documentation and records of the personal self-rescue device must be complete.- Safety, occupational hygiene, and fire prevention conditions in the inspection area must be ensured to facilitate the inspection process.- Environmental factors must not affect the inspection results. The environmental conditions in the laboratory must ensure:- Cleanliness and ventilation.- Temperature (23±5)°C; Humidity <80%.

Also according to Circular 50, the inspection is performed before placing the self-rescue device into storage for use, after each production shift, and periodically every 3 months.
