Conditions for Granting Surveying and Mapping Operation Licenses

An organization will be granted a license for surveying and cartographic activities when meeting the following conditions:

- It is an enterprise or public service provider with functions and duties in surveying and cartographic activities;- The technical supervisor for surveying and cartography must have a university degree or higher in surveying and cartography; have at least 05 years of practical experience suitable for at least one surveying and cartographic activity of the organization applying for the license, or possess a Class I professional certificate in surveying and cartography as stipulated in Article 53 of the 2018 Law on Surveying and Cartography; must not simultaneously be the technical supervisor for surveying and cartography of another organization;- Have a sufficient number of technical staff trained in surveying and cartography to meet the requirements of the activities for which the license is requested as regulated by the Government of Vietnam;- Have means, equipment, and technology for surveying and cartography that comply with the regulations in the technical-economic norms for surveying and cartography to produce a surveying and cartographic product as mentioned in the license application.

Foreign contractors will be granted a license for surveying and cartographic activities by the specialized management agency for surveying and cartography under the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment when meeting the following conditions:

- Have a decision of successful tender or selection by the investor, which includes surveying and cartographic activities;- Have technical staff, means, equipment, and technology for surveying and cartography that comply with the winning bid documents or the selected bid documents.
