Conditions for Admission to Military Schools According to Nomination Policies

Accordingly, Circular 17 stipulates that candidates being considered for nomination to university, college, or professional intermediate training within the Army must undergo preliminary selection and meet the following standards regarding political criteria, ethics, health, age, recruitment areas, and other conditions:

- Candidates must have graduated from high school through regular education or continuing education and currently do not belong to the State's payroll.- The conduct classification in the final year of high school (or the training classification in the final year of the course) must be rated as fairly good or higher.- The study classification in the final year of high school:- For university, college, or intermediate level recruitment: Candidates must have an average academic performance or higher for ethnic minorities and fairly good or higher for the Kinh people.- Age:- Nomination for military university and college training: Age from 17 to 25 years old (calculated up to the year of recruitment);- Nomination for military intermediate training: Age from 17 to 27 years old (calculated up to the year of recruitment).

Additionally, Circular 17 stipulates that candidates must be preliminarily selected by the Provincial Military Admissions Council, division, and equivalent levels, reported to the Military Admissions Council directly under the Ministry of National Defense; the admissions councils of the schools will review and propose; the Military Admissions Council of the Ministry of National Defense will make the final decision on admission.
