Compilation of Requirements in the Water Resources Report of the Ministry

Circular 31/2018/TT-BTNMT has been issued by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, stipulating the contents and report templates for water resources. This document amends and supplements Circular 27/2014/TT-BTNMT.

According to the new regulations, reports on water resources by the Ministry, ministerial-level agencies must meet the following requirements:

- Requirements for the overview of the current development status of the sector: assess the development situation, development orientation of the sector, field associated with the exploitation, use, and protection of water resources.- Requirements for the content on the current status of exploitation and use of water resources:- Summarize the number of current surface and groundwater exploitation works that have been planned and classified according to usage purposes, types of exploitation works, and assess the changes;- For large, important reservoirs, summarize the total capacity, flood control capacity, and evaluate the changes.- Requirements for the content of the implementation of legal regulations on water resources:- Summarize the number of water exploitation and use works that have been licensed;- In case the exploitation work is a reservoir, summarize the number of reservoirs that have established reservoir protection corridors and assess the changes;- Analyze and evaluate the implementation status of regulations on monitoring and supervising the exploitation and use of water.
