On May 15, 2018, the Ministry of Transport issued Circular 32/2018/TT-BGTVT promulgating 02 National Technical Regulations on railways.
According to the provisions of the National Technical Regulation on Railway Operation, railway works must meet the following basic requirements:
- Railway works must include:- Railways;- Railway stations;- Depots;- Bridges, culverts, and drainage works;- Railway tunnels;- Communication systems;- Signal systems;- Fixed railway signaling systems;- Power supply systems and other auxiliary works and equipment of the railway.- Railway works must be regularly and periodically inspected and must have records and technical documentation to monitor changes during use.- No part of the works or fixed or mobile equipment shall infringe on the architectural clearance gauge to ensure train operation safety and work safety.- Equipment directly related to locomotives and carriages, such as active train order posts, are considered exceptions and may infringe on the architectural clearance gauge in accordance with regulations of the railway infrastructure business enterprise.
