Compensation Levels for Occupational Accidents and Diseases in the Military

The compensation level for employees working in the Army who suffer from occupational accidents or diseases shall be calculated as follows:

1. At least equivalent to 30 months' salary for an employee whose work capacity is reduced by 81% or more or to the relatives of an employee who dies due to a work accident or an occupational disease;

2. At least equivalent to 1.5 months' salary for an individual whose work capacity is reduced by 5% to 10%; if the work capacity is reduced by 11% to 80%, for each additional 1%, an additional 0.4 months' salary will be added according to the formula below or by referring to the table:

Tbt = 1.5 + {(a - 10) x 0.4}

Where:

- Tbt: Compensation level for an individual whose work capacity is reduced by 11% or more (unit: Months' salary);- 1.5: Compensation level when work capacity is reduced by 5% to 10%;- a: Percentage (%) reduction in work capacity of the individual injured by a work accident or occupational disease;- 0.4: Compensation coefficient when work capacity reduction increases by 1%.

Circular 124/2015/TT-BQP, taking effect from December 25, 2015, replaces Circular 14/2004/TT-BQP.
