Classification of environmental data in hydrometeorological work in Vietnam (Illustrative image)

According to the Regulation on economic-technical norms for hydrometeorological data work issued together with Circular 39/2013/TT-BTNMT, the types of basic environmental investigation data products (hereinafter referred to as environmental data) in Vietnam are specified as follows:

- Automatic air environment:

- Hourly/daily/monthly datasets;

- Result charts of pH, EC, T, t, and rainfall of rain events during the month.

- Rainwater, settled dust:

- Total settled dust result sheet (MTK-1);

- pH, EC result sheet measured at the station (MTK-2);

- Rainwater sampling report (MTK-3);

- Chemical component analysis result sheet of rainwater (MTK-4);

- Chemical component analysis result sheet of dust (MTK-6).

- River and lake water environment:

- River water environment monitoring result sheet (MTN-1);

- River and lake water analysis result sheet (MTN-3);

- Lake water environment monitoring result sheet (MTN-2).

- Coastal seawater environment:

- Seawater environment monitoring result sheet (MTN-4);

- Seawater analysis result sheet (MTN-5).

- Salinity measurement:

- Salinity result sheet (MTN-6);

- Characteristic salinity result sheet (MTN-7, MTN-8).

In addition, types of basic upper-air meteorological investigation data products (hereinafter referred to as upper-air meteorological data) include:

- Radio sounding:

- Printed datasets of DigiCORA radio sounding;

- Monthly radio sounding data report (BTK-1a);

- Radio sounding data storage sheet (BTK-11);

- Radio sounding data sheet (T, U) (BTK-1);

- Radio wind (wind characteristics) measurement sheet (BTK-2).

- Wind data (pilot):

- High-altitude wind observation log with optical theodolite (STK-2);

- High-altitude wind data sheet (BTK-2b).

- Ozone and ultraviolet radiation (ozone-UV):

- Total ozone observation log (SOZ-1, SOZ-2);

- Daily average total ozone report (BOZ);

- Ultraviolet radiation observation log (SCT-1, SCT-2);

- Ultraviolet radiation report (BCT).

- Weather radar.

More details can be found in Circular 39/2013/TT-BTNMT, which comes into effect in Vietnam from December 15, 2013.
